Besides the fact that we believe our houses are "one of a kind" pieces of art, we create them to last! Each house is created and signed by artist, hand hammered & screwed, using stainless steel and galvanized  materials; no nail guns, no staples, no glue! Quality Guaranteed.

Ordering, Shipping & Handling?

To ensure your complete satisfaction, we accept orders via phone or email,  All orders are handled by Joe or Claudia personally. Once your order is confirmed, we will start building your unique piece, which will take approximately two to three weeks, depending on our work load.  Once complete, please allow two weeks UPS ground delivery time.  Rush shipping available by request.

Installation, Placement & Maintenance?

Choose a location that will highlight your investment. Dig your hole 3-4 feet deep, and bury a 4X4 pole. Choose your desired height.  Large Houses come
with an attractive "sleeve" for easy installation. Simply slide your sleeve over the mounted 4X4. Secure in place by crewing up from the base of the sleeve to the base of the house.  You can also mount smaller houses to a fence post, garden wall or any flat surface.

Houses are absolutely maintenance free, with working clean outs.

To paint or not to paint?

We do not suggest using wood preservatives, paint or stain.  Houses will naturally turn a beautiful, weathered silver.  All our homes are made to withstand New England weather and guaranteed to last. But if you wish to do so, you can, we the suggest going for a wood/deck stain. Please note, due to the unnatural odor, it will take an additional year or so for birds to occupy.

Attracting Specific Birds?

All houses are made to attract small birds common to your area, your neighborhood finches,  sparrows, chickadees.  If you desire, we can make the hole bigger if you are trying to attract a bigger bird, like the Purple Martins. We recommend a smaller hole because it will help keep out other unwanted animals, like those pesty squirrels.  If you have a squirrel problem, you can protect your investment against damage by requesting our attractive Copper Star feature.
